Description

Please join us for the Modernist Heroine's Walking Tours. The walk takes inspiration from ten remarkable women with connections to Manchester and the region Whilst celebrating their achievements, we will also uncover hidden histories and power relations which have shaped the modern city,

We will share tales of explorers, aviatrixes, archictects, artisits and more to reveal the valuable role women have played in defining and resisting dominant perspectives of the city.

The tour will start in the community gallery at The Peoples History Museum and is part of the Loitering With Intent exhibition, The tour will last for approximately two hours and finish outside The Bridgewater Hall.

Manchester's Modernist Heroines is an ongoing project created through a collaboration between Manchester Modernist Society, The Loiterer's Resistance Movement, and The Shreiking Violet,
